The First Day

Today was the first day of school. I know you have all heard my glowing report already, but I was hoping this would be a great way for you guys to keep up with us from far away! Lily was a rockstar today, strutting into that preschool as if she'd been there one hundred times before. She actually walked right in, holding my hand, walked to a small table, pulled out the chair, sat down and started working on a puzzle. When another baby passed by she said, "you sit down, too!" I could have died right there of pride. She's a preschool prodigy! She spent quite a bit of time with a piece of rubber pizza, a pink straw hat, and small pieces of tissue paper being used to decorate their placemats...which brings me to the BEST part of preschool... SNACK TIME! This place actually thinks that you can get 19 children between 1-2 years old to sit at a long table in a seat with a plate and a cup of water and actually eat. Ummmm, they all did it! It was literally like the paparazzi were there with all of the moms snapping pictures...the kids actually all looked a little stunned by that part. Overall, Lily rocked this whole preschool thing and I spent more time on the phone today than I have in a long time bragging to all of you about it, so thanks for that. I will continue to post here about Lily, preschool or just things I think you might like to hear. Give me time to get used to this - and forgive my grammar mistakes, there are going to be a lot of them. FUN!
